The Bateau 23 offers the capacity for larger groups of fisherman and outdoor enthusiasts. The 23 has the size, weight and freeboard to leave the sound’s protected waters to head ocean-side on nicer days. T-Tops are often added to the Bateau 23 for extended days on the water.
The Beach Barbeques – On the NC Coast near the Jones Brothers factory, it’s common to see family or group barbeques taking place on the nearby islands and sandbars. These are not your typical backyard variety BBQs, but more akin to the Southern football tail-gating tradition – think whole pigs and chickens. The Bateau 23 is a favorite for it’s ability to move loads of people, cookers, ATVs, or tow kayaks or a jet ski – hopefully not all at once.
